The world’s largest gold coin weighs 1 tonne

The previous record belonged to a Canadian coin that weighed 99.7kg and was minted in 2007. A decade later, it was attempted to be stolen from a museum in Berlin, as a result of which its value then rose to 714 thousand American dollars.
