A dog from the US has regenerated part of his jaw after it was removed

It is noted that a French bulldog puppy named Tyson underwent major surgery on his lower jaw due to a malignant tumour, namely papillary squamous cell carcinoma. The decision to operate on the dog was made on the basis that there were no metastases yet, but the surgery threatened to leave the animal’s jaw with incomplete function for the rest of his life.

To the surprise of the specialists, when Tyson was brought in for a check-up eight weeks after the surgery, bone was found when the operated area was palpated. The dog underwent a CT scan, which confirmed the complete regeneration of the left half of the bulldog’s lower jaw. In addition, its function had fully recovered without the need for outside intervention.
